Pictures in the restroom at Mr. Bills

I have returned from my impromptu trip to Norman with Erin! So, it all started last week with a simple email from Erin asking me if I wanted to make a quick trip to our old college town. I said no, being as I am moving next week. Then, I started packing up a few things, and I realized...I actually do not have very much stuff, and I bet I can pack my entire apartment in one hour, so off to Norman we went! We walked around campus, and it just so happened that Copeland Hall (our old journalism building, which has now been replaced by the most badass journalism building I have ever seen) was unlocked! It was like it was fate, the building we spent so many hours in during our stint at OU was unlocked, just for us to walk around it. Ok, enough of that, I know you guys really just want to hear about how we partied like rockstars!

So...we met up with Clare and went to The Vista (tell me why the bartender remembered that we use to go to The Vista on Tuesdays??? we are totally legends). Then it was off the Mr. Bill's, where we spent so many "Drunk Thursdays" singing Britney Spears karaoke. Clare and I had some random girl take our picture in the restroom, because one night during my senior year, we spent like 3 hours having a conversation (that neither of us really remembers) sitting in the restroom there. Then we went and picked up Sammy (who still lives in the same place he did when we were in college, and maintains he only pays $67 a month in rent). Side bar -- every time I had a party in college, Sammy would be cleaning my kitchen at like 4am, because he believed if he cleaned he would always be invited back, which actually worked for him, because he was always the first person I called to invite to my parties. We went to O'Connell's after that and did some shots. Clare and I ran into this girl who has a child by my ex boyfriend. How random is that? Being as the guy cheated on me, I hope he has to pay her an ass load of child support!! Another side bar -- He didn't cheat on me with her, he had the kid before I met him, however, I will point out that he neglected to tell me he had a child for like the 1st 6 months we dated, and Clare's old roommate Lindsey was actually the one who told me. Anyway moving on -- It was so much fun!!! Sunday, we went to the chinese place that we use to go every Sunday when we woke up at 2pm after partying all Saturday! I know what you are thinking, and yes, I did spend my last two years of college partying, however, I did graduate with a 3.7 GPA, so no, my partying did not interfere with my studies.....I also had two jobs and an internship my senior year...I just knew how to seriously multitask!! That is all for now! I can't wait until our next trip!!

The Irish

So, that title actually has very little to do with what I am posting, but I read James Joyce's The Dead, yesterday and it was about the Irish so I figured why not. It's funny, because I bought the book (which is actually called Dubliners...it is a book of short stories, and "The Dead" is the last of the short stories) many years ago, when they made it into a short lived musical starring the fabulous Alice Ripley. I figured since I couldn't go see it, I could at least read the story and see what it was about. So, five years later, I have finally read the story. I enjoy reading, but with life being so crazy all the time, I often do not have time to read. I have started reading at the gym, while I am on the bike. I can't read when I do anything else, but I typically start with 30 minutes on the bike, so I will read then. I honestly believe that my brain is turning to mush, because I do not use it that much! My goal for today is to read a book....any book I choice (and no, it will not be the new Harry Potter book....I read the first one, and it was cute, but nothing I cannot wait to read). I think this is why people do not read my blog, it is sooooo boring! Oh well, thus is life!

Wimbledon

Ok, I have a plan, I am going to the wimbledon tournament next year. I have seen my fake boyfriend, Andy Roddick, get beat in the finals for the last time!! I feel if I go and he has my support he will be able to win the tournament. Also, I was very disapointed with Venus Williams winning the women's title. I think Venus and Serena, are too involved with being celebrities to be respectable athletes. They are like the Paris and Nicole of tennis. I am not saying that is a bad thing, but I don't like to see them win. I mean did you see Venus' big production after she won? That was so uncalled for, and a publicity stunt at that. I do have tons of respect for Lindsey Davenport, what great sportsmanship!!

Moving on....I never really post too much about my life, so I will try to put in a little section from now on about me. Work was very challenging for me last week. I work with this guy, who I do not necessarily dislike, but who causes me a lot of difficulty! He was recently promoted (mostly because he was the only one who interviewed for the position). He does not bother me, probably because he knows I know more about the job than he does, but he tells all the new people that he is their boss and he is such a micromanager (which is totally opposite from the way things are run where I work). It probably shouldn't bother me , because like I said he never says anything to me, but he harrasses a couple of my coworkers and it is really irritating. Then, last week, it was late and he and I were the only ones in the office and he was on his cell phone talking to his girlfriend yelling at her saying that she was a F***ing B***h and that she needed to shut the F*** up. Finally, I had to go back and tell him, to keep his voice down because there were students out in the lobby. I personally think that is very unprofessional, and I have no respect for someone who talks to their girlfriend like that. My dillema is that I want to say something to my boss, mostly because I want him to get written up so he will stop trying to boss everyone around. However, if I do tell her, then he will know it was me, because I was the only one their and it could cause friction in the office. I am open for suggestions on what to do! Until next time...Be Good!
