The Perfect Man (and yes I am referring to the Hilary Duff Movie)

So, I saw this movie with my dear friend Julie this weekend and it brought forth some very interesting conversation. **Warning to all guys this post is mainly for my fellow single ladies, so read on with care. Julie is one of those people, who I think found the perfect person for her, and one of the things she asked me, was would I settle for someone. (I think married people secretly want to sneak into our single world). Honestly, I don't think I would. I think at one point in my life, I might have, but I think there is a bigger plan for me, and I am glad that my life has worked out the way it has so far. I have seen what happens when a person settles for someone and then marries them and has kids and I don't want that for me, and I don't want it for my friends who complain about being single (you know who you are). Julie told me about her sister who has been married 5 years, and everyone told her not marry the guy, but she did anyway, and now they are about to get divorced. She said she asked her why she married him, and her sister responded, "he was the first one to ask." ICK NO!! See what happens when you settle. I know, I am probably not the best person to be talking about this, because it takes me forever to make up my mind about a guy, but it is better than settling for the first person who asks me out...I think people are deep and it takes awhile to really know them. Is that such a bad thing? SO I will end this with something very profound that Julie said, that I think some of my unhappy single friends should take note of, it is better to be single and wish you were in a relationship than to be in a relationship and wish you were single. Wow, pretty deep stuff coming from a Hilary Duff movie!!

Vacation and Angry chicks

SO, I leave for vacation tomorrow...YIPPEE!!! I need the time away from work, it really wore me down this week, I need the time away so I can come back all refreshed!! It will be nice to get out of town, even if it isn't a place I particularly want to go. Then when I get back I will work for 3 days and be off for 3 more..God Bless holidays. So, you are probably looking at my blog title and saying, ok, so what does that have to do with angry chicks???? Basically, I do not have love in my heart for angry chicks. I have a friend, who has a blog, and this one chick always posts comments on it, and so, for fun, I went and checked out her blog and all I could think was wow, it must suck to be that angry. What really threw me, was her referring to Katie Couric (who actually had very little to do with her entry) as a "nasty liberal bitch." Now my question, is she only a nasty bitch because she is liberal? In that case are we all nasty bitches if we are liberal? People that are too political annoy the hell out of me!!! We all have our beliefs, we live in a free country, we are entitled to them but people who are super liberal or super conservative have no understanding of other people's opinion. I personal think for myself. If I have a belief that is liberal great, if I have a belief that is conservative great...but at least it is my belief. My point, and I do have one, is why must people get angry because we have a mind of our own? I know that as a female I am very passionate, and emotional as a person, but being angry at life because people think different from you just makes us, as girls look bad....it actually makes us look like backstabbing bitches, I don't want that reputation, how about you??? Just something to think about I guess, I just felt sorry for her, having read that! How I miss my bed

So, it has gotten very, very hot in my part of the world...which is great, I love summer. Here is where my problem come in, my bedroom faces the west, so when the sun is setting my room becomes extremely HOT. So hot, that I cannot sleep in my bed at night. I have had to sleep on my sofa for almost a week now! The air conditioner does not help at all, it can be set on 68 and my room will still be like a hundred degrees. I changed offices at work, and I now have the "rockstar office" but the blinds in the "rockstar office" have not been cleaned in years, so my allergies were very bad this week, then on Friday when I cleaned them, my allergies were the worst!!! I leave for a mini vacation in one week...yippeee!!! Also, in September I am going to go to Vegas for my birthday...we just decided this last night! I realize this is a pretty random post, but oh well, random is my life! My cousin's little girl is so fabulous! She is 4 (I think) her name is Sage, and she is just a little supermodel. She is like a 17 year old trapped in a four year old's body. I saw her last night, and she was in a pool, floating on her little pink floaty, she said she likes to float backwards in her floaty so everyone can see her. I hope when I have kids my kids are fabulous like Sage, and not bad like my sister's baby!!! That is all for today....live, have fun, and be random! ~Shanda

As She Severs you Madame Guillotine

So, we all know I have this odd obsession with the French Revolution.....ok, I am not going to lie, it is just a guillotine obsession. When I was in France a few years ago we went on this boat tour, and the only thing I had to say to the tour guide was, "Ou a la guillotine?" Which I think means "where is the guillotine?" My french is very rusty!!! Her response was of course, there are no guillotines here in France they are in England. WHAT??? So, I still have yet to see a real guillotine, but one day I will! I still think that the little cigar cutter things are actually finger guillotines. I think Shimko once told Rachel York that I had a guillotine in my living room. (I think that was you shimko??) Alas, it is all a facade, I have never even seen one!! Speaking of Rachel York...did you guys watch the Tony's?? I wasn't intending too, but I just happened to flip by and see Vickie Clark and I was like....hey, I know her. After that I was somewhat intrigued, so I stayed tuned in, and she won like best actress and I was like no way, I know her!! So, that was kind of fun! Oh, my boss gave me this ticket to go to this really trendy uppity club on Saturday, and I am super excited!! My co-worker is going to go shopping with me, so I look super hot the event. (because as you all know I am not exactly a fashion diva...but I am getting much better believe it or not...I even bought a bag last week, specifically because it matched my outfit..AHHH). The Shanda Possible Post

Ok, Well, the Kelly Clarkson concert kicked major ass! Erin and I had the worst seats ever...but that's ok, because bottom line...we were there and you were not...so BACK OFF! So, I have decided that Kim Possible is clearly me in cartoon form. I mean come on, she looks just like me...Call me beep me baby!! Well, all of the fabulous TV shows I watched have taken their break for the summer, so I now feel compelled to talk about how much the season finales sucked! Ok, to start with....why do I even watch One Tree Hill?? I mean it just put me in a bad mood, because nothing good happened at all. The most depressing two hours ever..I swear!! Of course, I cannot forget Lost, I have no idea what was up with that??? Then, Alias...Nadia as a zombie...I kind of like it! It was a total ripoff of resident evil, but I'll take that....I thought it was funny to see Nadia trying to eat people! I will not give away the ending, but WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT??? I mean come on......but, I will tune in next season...but I am told I may have a slight problem...Merissa told me that they are moving One Tree Hill to Wednesdays at the same time as Alias....That is total poo poo, because those are the only shows I watch, and I am not all high tech with the DVR and cable and stuff, and my VCR will not let me record something and watch something different, so I will be screwed it that happens. I will just assume Merissa has been misinformed and all is right with the world!! Until next time....you know that you always can call SHANDA POSSIBLE!!
